My Last Hours to Live

I hear the guns going off in the distance,
But I keep on fighting,
I have to remember all the long,
These might be my last few hours.

I would sell my soul,
For one more day,
My family need,
Me in their life.

They are my life and soul,
My baby has never met her daddy,
Oh and my son,
I have never seen.

I grasped my gun,
With tearful eyes,
My kids are going to grow up,
With all these lies.

I am trying to make them proud,
I really am,
All the times I have memories,
It makes me feel better inside.
