Prospectus: International Dimension
We are actively working with schools in different European countries and Sri Lanka on projects of mutual benefit and interest. We welcome visitors into school from many different countries in Europe and the world at large for anything from a day to six months. Each year we have at least one European assistant and a Japanese cultural assistant on long-stay visits. The school has been accredited as a centre of excellence in the International Dimension.Follow this link for further detail on our School's International reputation.
The international dimension in education has never been more important. As the world responds to more integrated systems of communication, trade and partnership, our young people are becoming global citizens and the job market in which they will compete is now increasingly an international one.
To prepare our children for this very different world, education is adapting. Learning to speak a foreign language, to understand and appreciate other cultures, to work towards shared goals with counterparts from very different backgrounds - these are now key components of a well-rounded education.
InterArt Expo exhibition is part of our international programme and is one way for our youngsters to begin to appreciate other cultures and work towards the same goals. Through the art, we have brought children from all over the world together to share their thoughts and feelings. We are proud to have done so.
