Music

Every child in the school is involved in music.  The department is well established and enjoys a variety of links with our local schools, the community and further afield.

Pupils study history, structure and development of music.  All pupils enjoy practical challenges producing and performing a wide variety of materials.  We have a wide range of classroom instruments and keyboards to achieve this, including a recent aquistion of Macbooks and keyboards to allow for music technology and teaching.

Pupils are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular instrumental/performing activities. These include: brass, woodwind and percussion (peripatetic lessons).
