Physical Education

PE is a vigorous and vital part of the curriculum. There is a well-equipped gymnasium and the school has good playing fields on site.

Two hours in Year 6 and two and a half hours in Year 7 & 8 of curriculum time are allocated to each class per week and, where appropriate, PE is taught as a mixed activity. Pupils take part in gymnastics, swimming, athletics, orienteering and a variety of major and minor games.

Many extra-curricular activities take place during enrichment time and after school. School fixtures with neighbouring schools take place in athletics, cross country running, hockey, netball, basketball, football, cricket and rounders.
