PSHCEE
PSHCEE is taught throughout the school as a discrete
lesson.
There is opportunity to discuss and investigate a wide variety of issues relating to safety, the community, health, careers and topical issues.
The curriculum is broad and progresses through all three years. It is flexible enough to allow reflection and debate on topical issues as they arise.Sex education and Relationships is part of this syllabus, being taught in Year 6 and revisited in Year 8. It covers areas such as decision-making, boy/girl relationships, family life - dealing with change, self-image, stereotyping, friendships, as well as basic sex education.
Enterprise Challenge
Year 8 were given a variety of Enterprise Challenges:
Pupils worked in small groups producing budget sheets, adverts, SWOT analysis, a web page and a final presentation to judges.
Seaside Sizzler were the winning group this year. Well done.
