Drama Club takes place in the Autumn and Spring Terms. Any child in the school can come along to the club which is from 3.45pm until 5.30pm.
The purpose of the club is to rehearse a play and then perform it to parents at the end of term. Plays are written for about 30 to 40 children about issues which affect children. If more than this number want a part then extra parts are written for them. No child is excluded. Everyone who wants a part receives a part.
Recent productions have included;-
"The Nimby Affair", about local opposition to the building of a new supermarket.
"Saving the Planet... The Musical", about the steps we can take to help save the world.
"The Old Days", about the history of the school from its opening in 1930.
"Emmerenders Street", about the casting for a new soap on TV.
"A Basinful", a play about a family who don't quite work well together.
"A Natural Target", a play which explored the issue of bullying.
"Fab Four in a Frenzy", a play about the youthful exuberance of childhood.
