The House System
On entry into the school, pupils are allocated to one of three houses and they remain in either Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent or Whernside throughout all three years. The idea is to create groups, which bring together pupils from all years, and the system proves popular. Competition is encouraged through sporting activities, house music and chess competitions and the annual quiz which takes place on the last afternoon of the spring term.
