Parent Teacher Friends Association

The PTFA is a much valued part of school life and is a vital link between home and school. Its committee is elected annually and helps to organise a variety of events such as educational evenings, discos, charity events, school plays, book fairs, variety show, bingo evening, auction of promises, film nights and fund raising ventures.

Frequent newsletters keep parents informed about school events and guarantee parental involvement and support.
The PTFA enables the school to buy or pay for many extra things. The money raised during the past year has been used to fund:

a French theatre company;
a subscription to 'Linguiscope' an interactive language web site which pupils can access both at school and at home;
illustrated dictionaries an extra books for reluctant readers for the SEN department;
new football shirts for our teams to wear when competing;
an English Theatre company.
